Who are we? The Hong Kong Software Industry Information Centre (SIIC) was established in 1996 and is managed by the Hong Kong Productivity Council. Our Mandate The SIIC is mandated to assist the business development and enhance the competitiveness of the local software industry by providing marketing support, research intelligence and partnership facilitation. What services do we offer to our members? 1. Marketing Support Marketing Advice & Logistics Services You will be offered an extensive range of marketing services for an expanded customer base, such as venue arrangement, relevant database sourcing, promotion material design and direct mailing delivery. Press Coverage Your success story may be published in some local media to increase company exposure and enhance market awareness. Business Referral Service Business will be referred to you if your product offerings can match with the specific software needs of the end-users. Exhibition Exposure You will enjoy a more attractive presence at a reasonable price in the local exhibitions. Upon request, logistic support may also be provided. 2. Research Intelligence SIIC Journal You will be given one issue of the SIIC Journal free. This Journal not only addresses the challenges encountered by the software industry, but also provides insights on end-user requirements, software market trends, electronic commerce, technology sourcing, industry events and marketing tips. SIIC Seminars You will be invited to SIIC seminars and to discuss with other industry people about industry issues and business concerns, like "Funding Opportunities" and "Software Exports". Guest speakers from diverse fields will also be invited to share their views and experience with you. SIIC Web Site You can access our SIIC database anytime through the Internet and easily retrieve abstract information on Marketing Events, IT Solution Directory, SIIC Spotlight & Publicity, Research Intelligence, SIIC Journal, Mini-Study & Industry Fact Sheet, Training Programs and Useful Web-site Link. 3. Partnership Facilitation Vendor Partnership & Intra-member Cooperation You can obtain information on the partnership programs of the hardware and software vendors from us from time to time. You can also join our "SIIC Happy Hour" as to identify potential business partners for collaboration. Study Mission to the Mainland You can join our study missions to the Mainland as to gain a deeper understanding on the Mainland's software market and more importantly, to build up connections for future business expansion. Overseas Cooperation You can obtain the contacts of potential overseas partners or software associations for software exports or sourcing overseas technologies.
